New Look

I thought that since I had a few extra minutes I would update the look of the blog. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Blessed New Year. We are certainly going to have a great new year in our family! With the addition of Maddox we will be living life as a family of 4!! I can hardly believe that Jared and I have come this far. We will be married 4 years in May and we have 2 children that the Lord has blessed us with! We are so grateful to Him for allowing us this opportunity to raise up these children in His ways.

I know- 2 Posts So close together

So I know I don't post this often, but we had such a great weekend that I had to share it with all! Saturday we got up early and headed to the Pumpkin Patch with our friends the Dobbins'. They have a little boy who is a little younger than Caelan, but that does not mean anything when you have 2 boys together. We started the morning early and got there about 9 am. The boys got to ride some ponies and loved it. After that we headed to go get our pumpkin and ride on the covered wagon. When we arrived at the field the boys took of running through the field while the husbands were looking for the right pumpkin. When everyone had achieved their goal of the right pumpkin we headed back to the wagon to go back. I think the two workers must have thought they were comedians because I had one ask me when I was going to pay for the pumpkin I stuck under my shirt! I didn't quite get it at first, but once I did I had to laugh. I thought later I should have told them in about 6 weeks! Everyone got a good laugh and we headed back. After the pumpkin we did the inflatables, the petting zoo and took some good "fall" pictures. I really enjoyed the whole thing and can't wait to go back next year! Here are some pics with Caelan and his friend Noah. Plus some of Mommy and Daddy.

A little update....sort of

I just wanted to post a little since I have not done so in a month! I am coming along in this pregnancy pretty good. I went to the doctor on Wednesday and they say I am measuring just over a week ahead. My due date is Nov. 25th, but I am hoping that baby Maddox will make his arrival before then! A few reasons would be 1) that is the week of Thanksgiving and 2) that is the week of the Auburn vs. Alabama game and neither of which do I want to be in the hospital for! :) But, only God knows when he is going to bring our little man in to this world. The doctor believes that I am going to have another 9 pounder like Caelan. I was not at all surprised by this. I love feeling this baby inside me, but I am now ready to meet him. I look forward to all of the memories with Maddox that we have created with Caelan. I can't wait to introduce Caelan to his little brother and see him hold Maddox for the first time. All we know is that we have a little more than 6 weeks or so until we get to meet him and we all can't wait!

Caelan is growing up so quickly before our eyes! Recently, I got to go to the big consignment sale I go to every season. I got all of his fall wardrobe for about $100 or so. I thank God for the ladies who decided to start this company some 18 years ago. They make it such a wonderful experience and give all of the glory to God for bringing the three of them together. Anyways, I ended up buying him 3T pants and 4T tops. My little boy is growing faster than I can keep him clothed! I always have fun meeting up with my KidsMarket friends that I only see twice a year. We get to trade stories about our lives that have happened in the last 6 months. It is always interesting hearing about these kids.

Here are some recent pictures that I hope you will enjoy. I will post again soon about all of our friends that are having babies and about the Pumpkin Patch that we are going to tom. I can't wait to see how Caelan likes everything! These pics are of us at the beach this summer, at the lake with Caelan feeding the ducks and at home before his first day of school and an Auburn football game. Have no fear all of my Alabama fans, I will post a pic of him in his Alabama outfit on the next post! :)

Here are some more pics from the beach and one from Vacation Bible School. Caelan loved going every night and being able to hear the wonderful music and play games with his friends. This is a pic of Caelan with Ella. They love each other. Every time they see each other they call one another by name and give hugs and kisses! I t really is so cute. We have been so blessed to become such great friends with her parents. Her dad is the Children's Pastor at church. We love him and what he gives to all of the children!

I know, it's about time!

Okay, so like I promised a couple of weeks ago, here are some pics from the summer and beach. They are not in any order on here, but at least you can get a better idea of how much Caelan and I have grown.

Crazy Busy!

I know it has been such a long time since we have posted! So many things have happened over the past month. The biggest of these is Caelan's first day of preschool! He started this morning and mommy could not hold it together after he got out of the car. Jared followed us to school so he could see little man go into his first day. He called me right after and I told him that if I was crying now I was going to be a terrible mess by the time Caelan got to kindergarten! I go back in a few hours to get him so we will see how he did with his first day. I promise to put pics and more updates up later. For now I have some cleaning to get done so I can keep my mind off of my little man. I hope everyone is doing well and I can't wait to share more news!

What a Week!!!!!

This week has been one of the hardest weeks to get through while I have been pregnant! I have been through every emotion I can think of! It started out Monday with the Camry breaking down. Jared calls and I go try to jump it off but nothing worked. We have it towed to a local shop and they tell us the next day that, you guessed it, we need a new engine! I burst in to tears when I heard the news. I thought, are you serious?! Adios Camry! We just replaced the engine in the Expedition back in March. We are having no luck with cars these days! To make things better the "Check Engine" light came on last week and we had to take the Expedition back to the shop to see what was up. Luckily they remembered us and went right to work to find out what was wrong. I was sitting inside with the owner of the shop when his son came in with a piece of equipment and he gave me this look. He then proceeded to tell me, in the most serious voice, "I can't believe it, it needs another new engine!" I then proceeded to burst in to tears again. He then, very apologetically, said he was kidding and I was the 4th preggo he had made cry that week! And it was only Tuesday! By the time we got home I was mentally exhausted from dealing with cars and physically exhausted from being out at Alabama Adventure all day.

An update on the sleeping situation: it is going up and down. Caelan has been waking up at night wanting us to come in to his room and lay down with him. This all started the night of the fireworks on the 4th. Well, Monday night (day of dead car) we let him scream it out until he went to sleep himself. This took an hour and was 10 pm before he quit. But then at 4:45 he was back up again and we let him go again and it took 40 minutes for him to go back to sleep. I had to be up at 6:15 for the day, which meant little sleep for mom. What a day to look forward to!

On to better news, we did have some great things that happened this week with other family. My nephew turned 10 on Tuesday. My sister, nephew, and her fiance moved back to Birmingham about a month ago so this was the first party we have been able to attend in several years. Happy Birthday Hunter J! Also, my step-brother and his wife welcomed their first child on Tuesday! Kristen had an easy labor and Ashlyn was born just after 11 am. She weighed 6 pounds 7 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long. One surprise was some red hair she came out with. Mom and Dad couldn't be happier! We are so glad we have a new niece to welcome in to the family!

Our final piece of good news is we are headed to the BEACH!!!! Praise God! I think that is one of the only things that has gotten me through this week. Because of everything that has happened I am just now getting to the packing phase for the trip! Oh well, Jared is off tom. and he can finish where I stop. I hope everyone has a great couple of days and we will be back next week.

I know this has been an extremlly long post, but I had to vent! And I have to say I feel much better!

Some pictures for Daddy

Daddy has said he wanted some pictures of little man up, so here they are! I hope everyone enjoys these moments with Caelan. In the first one he is talking to Grandma on the cell phone. As you can tell he is making himself right at home between daddy's legs. The next one is from Caelan's 2nd birthday party. It was a train theme and he got a train table from PawPaw. The next one is just a random shot that we took at the house. He was really hamming it up that day! The following pic was when we were making the Mother Day gifts. He just enjoyed getting to have the paint on his hands. The last one is from when we celebrated Mother's Day at his parents. Caelan was giggling about something and it came out a great shot! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Hopefully I will get to post again before Monday, we'll see!

Happy 4th?

Well, we hope everyone had a fantastic 4th of July! We had the brilliant idea to start potty training since we had a long weekend. Things started out really bad. We went through 6 pair of underwear in 3 hours. Jared had to make a run to Wal-Mart to get more supplies. We thought that it would be a better idea to go straight to underwear from diapers, because Caelan refers to the pull-ups as diapers. After the morning fiasco we thought maybe we were a little soon to start this whole process, but said we would give it a couple of days to work on it. On the night of the 4th we went to Jared's parents to have dinner and go to the fireworks show. Boy was this a bad idea! When we got ready to go see the fireworks some were already being shot off in the circle and Caelan flipped out! He wouldn't look at anyone and had a death grip of the person who was holding him. It took us until 11 pm that night to get him to sleep. Every time he would get to sleep he would wake up and start screaming "I scared!" We thought it was just the noise and thought we would take him to the fireworks at the Country Club. He did the same thing. Needless to say, we have taken a step backwards with potty training until we can get his fear of fireworks under control! He is still waking up this week during the middle of the night screaming. I hope this ends soon for all of our sakes!

First Post!

We are so excited to have another blog for everyone to see what is going on with our family. Many updates since the last post. Caelan turned 2 at the end of April and is well on his way to being Mr. Independent! He is also on his way to being a Big Brother! Yes, we are expecting number 2 right before Thanksgiving. We truly will be so blessed this year during the holiday's. We found out recently that #2 is another Boy! His name will be Maddox Savoy. He is already showing signs of trying to out do his brother. We have so much to look forward to and can't wait to meet this little miracle God has given to us! I promise, with this blog I am going to update more than I did with Caelan's.
